How to Sell Gold in Hatton Garden
Heart of Gold is a Hatton Garden gold buyer at 23 Hatton Garden. Use the calculator for a 9ct to 24ct guide, send photographs, or book a valuation. Nothing on this website completes a sale.
The figure you see online is an estimated offer on eligible gold weight. Stones are excluded. The in-person weigh and test is what a purchase is based on.

The process
Three Steps from Estimate to Settlement
Estimate first, then visit the Hatton Garden desk. Nothing on this website completes a sale.
01Calculate Your Gold Value
Enter grams for 9ct Gold (375) to 24ct Gold (999). The figure is a live buy-rate guide, not a locked offer.
Open the Calculator
02Book a Visit or Send Photographs
Come to 23 Hatton Garden, or send photographs and a description first. Sales are not completed by post or online on this site.
Book a Valuation
03Receive a Valuation in Person
We weigh eligible gold and check purity at the desk. There is no obligation to sell. If you accept, settlement is agreed in person.

What a Hatton Garden Gold Valuation Covers
Ask for Heart of Gold at Heart Of Diamond. A valuation is a conversation at the counter, not a posted parcel and not an online checkout.
01
Weigh Eligible Gold
Items are weighed on the scales at the desk. Stones, steel, leather and costume parts are excluded from the gold weight used in the figure.
02
Check Purity
Hallmarks such as 375, 585, 750, 875, 916 and 999 are read where they are visible. Worn or missing marks are tested before an offer is put to you.
03
Explain the Figure
You are told what metal we can buy, at which carat, and the pounds-per-gram rate in force that day. There is no obligation to sell.
04
Settle Only If You Accept
If you accept, settlement is agreed in person. This website does not complete a sale, take payment online, or buy gold by post.
Before you travel

- Photo identification if you decide to sell after the valuation.
- Any box, receipt, assay card or family note that helps identify a bar or coin.
- Photographs of hallmarks, clasps and both sides if you want a first look before you travel.

What the Gold Calculator Does and Does Not Do
It Will
- Show a pounds-per-gram guide for 9ct Gold (375) through 24ct Gold (999).
- Use the latest usable Heart of Gold buy rate we hold.
- Let you add more than one carat, or jewellery and other items, before you enquire.
It Will Not
- Lock a gold price or complete a sale.
- Price diamonds, gemstones or watches as jewellery design.
- Replace the weigh and test at 23 Hatton Garden.

Questions About Selling Gold
Is the online calculator a guaranteed price?
No. It is a metal-content estimate from the weight and carat you enter and the latest usable buy rate we hold. The final figure depends on inspection of weight, purity and the item itself.
Do I need an appointment to sell gold?
You can send photographs first, or visit 23 Hatton Garden. Booking a valuation reserves diary time. Walk-ins are seen when the desk is free.
What if I do not know the carat or weight?
Use the enquiry form, attach photographs, and tell us what you can. We will not invent a number where the inputs are missing. The scales and test at the desk settle it.
Do you buy mixed lots and scrap?
Yes. Mixed bags are sorted by observable purity. Only eligible gold is weighed into the offer. Stones and non-gold parts sit outside that figure.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. A valuation is not a sale. If you do not accept the figure, you take the items away.
